Having Fun...Oh and a Freebie!!!

I have to say I had a brilliant day yesterday with my hunny...he has decided to take up photography again, YAY for me now I have someone to go with me on photo shoots :) His weapon of choice is the Olympus E-620 (yes he got one not me...lol) as he wants to do HDR photography. Basically you take three photos of the same subject and change the exposure on two - one under exposed and one over exposed...then smush them together in photoshop playing with blending modes and stuff...the end result is quite stunning and dramatic.



So yesterday we went out and about a couple of hours from home. Where we live we have three power stations, wind turbines (in the hills where the weather is even colder...EEK!), lots of countryside and dairy farms, so plenty of things to snap. Let me just say the weather was atrocious...we are in the middle of winter, the sky was full of rain heavy grey clouds...wind blowing a gale and temp around the 10oC mark...brrrr not my type of weather :(

BUT...we had a really great day together and I took some great photos to scrap...

Shop Attack!!!

What a busy few days, normally I don't do much...hehe...although Hubby always begs to differ :) Sunday did a shop attack with DD, we went to the big shops in the city where I was hoping to find an outfit for DS's wedding...yes, yes I know I said I had an outfit on layby but it wasn't exactly what I wanted. First stop was a trip to Spotlight (huge material and craft shop) as I just had to see all the home furnishings they have according to DD. I didn't go in with the intention to buy anything but...

I ended up walking out with cushions for the lounge...so very happy with my purchase they look great, don't ya think...

but alas that was all I bought for the day. I only found one outfit that was suitable for the wedding but it didn't look good on me ::sigh:: oh well good job I have my back up outfit.

I have more photos to post (not of the lounge of course...LOL) of DH and my trip out today but I need time to rotate and crop them...I'm a bit tired tonight...though I don't know why all I did was sit in the car...hahahaha!

Blog FREEBIE day...

Happy Wednesday...I hope everyone is having a good week so far? This week saw the start of a new eating plan for this big ol' family...not that the family is big in numbers, just our size...hehehe! I have put everyone on the Fat Free for Ever - healthy eating plan (not a diet, coz they don't work...right). Basically a no fat, low carb - healthy eating plan...I did this once before about 10 years ago...EEK!!! has it been that long. It worked a treat though, I dropped a dress size in six weeks, I was never hungry and felt great...so fingers crossed the plan works just as well this time round :)

But I won't make you wait that long for another freebie...hehehe...here's a little alpha I whipped up that coordinates with this month's Supa Digi Kit...

My Baby is BACK!!!

Yes it's true my little girl is home once again ::BIG GRIN:: she moved back home Saturday and already we have been shopping...I found an outfit for the wedding, weeeee...had coffee and afternoon tea. It's so nice to have someone to chat to (about nothing...hehehe) each day. It will only be until her house is built...roughly 8 months...so I will be making the most of it :)

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

...for the weekend to begin (insert music here)...hehehe. Ok so the weekend has already started for me with just a little bit of sorting and refiling of things on my puter. Do you do this too? I never seem to stop sorting my files, I get a system that seems to work and then decide that I can do it another way but better. Which always means renaming and moving files and it always seems to take soooooo long. Of course if the files relate to the site then I have to go and find the posts on the site and rename them too....EEK!!! Why do I do this...hehehe...I just can't leave well enough alone :) but hey I found a few more freebies to post...YAY.

We're back!!!

Well it was a long day yesterday for me anyway, waiting for the site to be restored completely. But not complaining our WebHost is just the bestest there is and everything is all fixed now :). So while I was at a bit of a loose end I did a bit of cooking and made profiter rolls...soooooo yummy, I would have taken a pic but they went too fast....lol!

Wet Paint!!!

Happy Sunday to ya'll...I'm off to paint the bungalow ceiling today, hopefully without too much mess...hehehe. I might install one of those closest maid shelf systems too and that should be the room done...yipppeeee! Just in time too so I was informed yesterday, DD has decided that next weekend she will be moving back home...just until her house is built :)

Training Day

DH and I are off to the city for some Digital SLR training today for work...WOOT...WOOT!! I think we are looking at Canon, Nikkon, Olympus and Sony brands. A bit excited to see what's new and it will be great to hear the 'experts' tell us what their cameras can do. Just so you all know I am a Canon girl (350D is my weapon of choice), coz my Dad has always had a Canon and DH has always had a Canon but seriouly if you are looking to get a DSLR take a look at the Olympus E-620 - review here I would love one of these! I've put my order in for Christmas...hehehe...but I don't like my chances :)

I woke up this morning with my head full of cotton (well that's what it feels like) as I have a cold :( aaaawwww poor me...but my day brightened considerable when I made breakfast! How could you not smile and have a great day when your eggs smile back at you...No I haven't taken too much cold medicine...the eggs I buy are Queensland eggs called Sunny Queen Eggs and everyone of them has a smile...uh huh, honest...as you can see in the pic...

SDK NEEDS a Creative Team and I would like you all to apply...but only if you want to of course...lol. We have three teams you can apply for...

Firstly a Store CT, these are permanent positions and you will get to work with all the SDK designers at some stage. We don't want to tucker you out so only one designer per month - one product - two layouts...WOOT. Second we would love to have some ladies on call, you know like at work when someone is sick and they call you in to cover! OK not like that...hahaha...each week you can have a look at our new releases and decide if you would like to work with anything or not! How cool is that, it's totally up to you...YAY. Thirdly we would like a couple of ladies that love to make hybrid projects...hybrid will be my next hobby, if I can ever tear myself away from the computer to actually sit and put glue on something...ROFL!



So get those typing fingers out and send me your details so we can get you started :)

My working week that is...hehehe...so now I have 4 days to play, play, play!!! Aaaahhhh...in my alternate life I would be on the computer all day and night, designing up a storm and organizing this little ol' site but in real life I think I have to paint the bungalow :( I have to say I am rapidly running out of things to fix and paint around the house...YAY...a bit excited that I might, just might have a completely finished home (the first time in my marriage) by the end of the year. Now that is something to smile about :)...
